Red Wall
The place is called the Red Wall,
A place where good men fall,
It has your back,
When the rifles crack,
And another stain on the Red Wall.
A place where brave men stand tall,
But like the sinner they must fall,
It’s all the same,
When the rifles aim,
And another stain on the Red Wall.
This place where people would rather give all,
Then abandon faith and lose all,
The world’s full ire,
When the rifles fire,
And another stain on the Red Wall.
Those saved now stand at the Red Wall,
To admire those that stood tall,
Their names inscribed,
Of the men who died,
And who stood before the Red Wall.

Prayer of a Humble Man
Thank you God for my four hours of sleep, so that I may rest in you.
Thank you God for my broken body, so that I can show my strength is you.
Thank you God for my cold shower, so that my warmth may be in you.
Thank you God for my empty fridge, so that I may be fed by you.
Thank you God for my broken car, so that I can show my trust in you.
Thank you God for this bad weather, so that my sun is you.
Thank you God for my hard boss, so that I may know my boss is you.
Thank you God for this small check, So that my wealth may be in you.
Thank you God for these tired feet, so that I may walk with you.
Thank you God for this worn down house, so that
Soft yellows, oranges, and reds flow out from this glowing oracle that has mounted the sky. He now descends a tired watchman having brought light to the people and now retreating back to his quiet and humble abode.
He tips his yellow hat as he touches the ground, he removes his orange cloak to place it on the coat rack of the hills. He dawns a red attire as only a sliver remains. He takes to his bed as the last rays fail. And he hearkens to the song of sleep as he finally dims.
A dip, a dime, a really poor rhyme,
That’s the life of a poet.
A rip, a rap, another poor sap,
He’s just too dumb to know it.
A time, some slime, another poor rhyme,
And he thinks he knows how to pro it.
A riff, a raff, he’s part of my staff,
Another aspiring poet.
As a man we hold the world on our shoulders.
When we stumble, the world quakes.
When we fall, the world falls with us.
But when we are strong, the world is safe.
When we laugh, the world knows joy.
When we love, the world knows peace.
When we are men, the world knows God.
I came before the pearly gates, and saw the streets of gold,
And there he stood Saint Peter, just like I had been told.
But when I saw Saint Peter, holding some keys and a scroll,
It made me kind of worry, if I had to pay my toll.
He asked me a simple question, “Son, what great things did you do?”
And I told him, “Sir, I was a real man and I can swear to God it’s true.”
I’ve only loved one woman, and I’ve loved her true and true,
And I’d still be loving her right now, if I wasn’t here with you.
I’ve got some loving children, that I’ve raised up solid and sound,
And if they were

Hero/Martyr: Ends
He came once again to Rosemary’s underground green house. She was asleep on her couch with only a thin blanket to cover her. She hadn’t changed and wore the same outfit he had seen her in earlier.
She stirred and looked up at him. “How did it go?” She asked blinking a weary eye at him.
“Fine, no incident.”
“That’s good.” She offered him a place on the couch and he took a seat. She sat up, wrapping her blanket around herself she placed her hands on his shoulders. He seethed as she worked her fingers into his always tense muscles. It was always tense where the metal met the flesh and

In order to save a world sometimes you have to die to it or at least that’s what I’ve been told.
Unit-85940132 or Charlie as he was called walked through the garbage filled alleys of the Undercity. It was called this for two reasons, the first being that a great majority of the city had at one time been underground with access tunnels to the surface. Now it meant that the city above where the Royals lived bore down on them instead of rock and the access tunnels were forever closed to all but a lucky few.
Charlie passed a man that was being beaten and robbed. No one cared and he would have had it not been he was already under
Celestia woke with a gentle moan. “What did I hit?” She asked taking a hoof and rubbing it over her head. She started at the barrenness of her forehead. Interiorly she groaned. “Don’t tell me whatever it was I flew into broke my horn.”
She had been laying on the forest floor of Everfree. She had been flying over it on her way to Ponyville from Dodge City when she had collided with an invisible wall and crashed into the forest below. After not finding her horn she began to check herself over.
She was again startled when she found her coat wasn’t the stainless white but a light blue. Even her mane a pas
Michael was pushing past Screechers on his way to capture the target. His three fast PAWs followed as they blew away all those he let slip by. Coming to the end of the corridor, they came face-to-face with thirty Screechers.
He jumped back suddenly and knocked up against one of his PAWs. "Spread out!" A PAW was too slow and took some shots to the legs. Falling the pilot jumped out. Using his rifle he laid down cover fire.
Michael rolled in front of him. "Get behind cover." He ran and got behind a bulkhead. He took a shot to the arm, dislodging his laser. "Nimitz!" Ripping it off he drew a large sword. Swinging it above his head, he c

Archangels
A primal armor walker, or PAW ran out from a collapsed corridor. Close behind was a field medic trying his best to keep up. Stopping behind a sheet of fallen metal, the PAW waited.
"Raphael, come on, keep up." The pilot yelled scanning the area.
The man running behind him jumped as laser fire destroyed his last position. "Easy for you to say Michael, you have that huge hulking machine." Running up next to him, Raphael stood panting with his med kit.
"I don't think there's any wounded left in this section." Michael said turning on his scanners. "Or anyone for that fact." There was a moment of silence. "But I do detect so
Clover floated in place holding Rogar in the room with two other Taurs. "Where is he?" She asked feeling uneasy.
"I'm sure he's fine." He said trying his best to comfort her.
"Yeah," An eerie silence soon took over leaving all of them alone in their own minds. The silence was finally broken by the sound of the PAW's heavy steps. Coming out they saw Drive walking up carrying a vast array of weapons.
"We need to rescue the rest." He said plainly. They hadn't noticed but another Taur followed close behind carrying a rifle. She aimed and was about to shoot, when he turned suddenly. Smashing the rifle into the wall he hit her lightly kno
Clover came awake as the ship shuttered from the explosion. Upon opening her eyes she was surprised to find herself floating in the middle of her room. Pressing against the floor, she knocked her head against the ceiling. Rubbing at the top of her head she awkwardly maneuvered her way to the door.
She looked out only to find the hall devoid of anyone. Shouting could clearly be heard from down the hall. Not knowing what to do, she slid back into her room.
Coming to the armory Drive punched in his pass code. The door slid open, and he went in. Grabbing a Kevlar vest, he strapped it on. Sifting through a rack of cartages he picked a few
Drive
Chap. 1
"You keep your God." A Blonde haired cheetahtaur said as he walked through the airlock.
Drive shook his head, "I really wish you would see what I'm trying to say." Scratching at his bald scalp he synched up his bag and made his way to his assigned cabin. Finding it easily, he laughed as he tossed his duffle onto the floor in front of his bed.
"How does a human get stuck with a bunch of Taurs?" He chuckled as he sat down on the futon cushion which would from then on serve as one of his beds. "Hmph, built for Taurs." Throwing himself down he gazed up at the ceiling. He smiled to himself. Pulling out a flash drive, he gav
It took him the better part of an hour and a half before he final made it to the surface. Climbing out with his daggers he helped Silva up. All her fears about him faded. After finding the bodies and his comforting her in that hard kind of way her heart had melted.
They now made their way back to the bio-dome. "Are you sure this is the way, this says it's that way." He continued to trod on in the direction he was going. "Okay," She fell in line behind him.
All of the sudden his solid form was a great relief to her. It stood out against the snow giving the world some depth. She couldn't help but notice how strong he was, trained in thi
Sitting in the kitchen with Heather, Silva growled. "But how do you explain him being out there and then just, poof, gone."
"I don't know, strange things can happen." She turned from the stove, "Especially after what happened to earth." Silva crossed her arms over her chest. "What's that look for."
"You don't believe me do you?"
"I don't," Henry said coming into the kitchen.
"But " She stopped as William entered the room. Looking at each other, he sat down opposite her. She looked over him suspiciously.

Why does she keep looking at you like that? William shrugged to himself. Getting down some plates, Heather set them

William
Walking in the desolate wasteland called earth, William made his way to his final hope. As he walked his dark grey tail brushed away snow behind him. Radioactive snow falling from the ever clouded sky pelted his body.
He came to the edge of a dome and started looking for a way in. Rather hopeless don't you think? He found an opening and began pounding his fist against the wall.
Oh, for crying out loud, you won't get in. They probably can't hear you. He ignored the voice in his head and continued pounding away. At last there was a rattling noise and the panel slid open a touch. Squeezing
Victor stood outside and stared up at the bleak grey walls of the control tower. It reached into the sky, and he wondered how long it would stand after they had left. Pushing open the door, he made his way up the spiral staircase hidden inside.
Stepping onto the control deck, he looked out at the bleak sight in front of him. Being the first one there, he had plenty of time to set up and get comfortable. Coming to a window, he watched as a crew of workers moved a loaded ship into place on the runway.
It was a small Trinity-class supply ship. Someone spoke up behind him. "Smaller than the frigates they're making, or what you'll be going
Being a survivor of the holocaust which claimed a great percentage of our already dwindling population, I have to look forward and pray that we survive. Already in space I thank God that I don't have to worry anymore about the radioactive wasteland we left behind.
Those that remained on earth are going to begin in structures simply know as bio-domes. Domes with the ability to contain life inside them. The Dyson sphere, or however it's spelled, comes to mind.
A few ships have yet to take to space. Once they arrive we will begin construction on production facilities for more stable space living and exploration. We put our faith in God,

That is the name of the time frame for these short stories. Every week I will submit about five of my pages for the story universe. It spans many different topics, places, people and races.
